How to clean the cameras on your Volvo EX30. The EX30 has a windscreen camera for the driver assistance systems and a rear camera, both standard. On the Ultra trim, cameras for the 360 degree camera are added. Dirt, road spray and winter salt on the lens can blur the image, so the car sees less clearly what's happening around it.

Where dirt builds up
The windscreen camera sits behind the windscreen. Volvo says you shouldn't clean behind the cover yourself, that's a job for the workshop. You can keep the glass above it clean on the outside. The rear camera and, on the Ultra, the front and mirror cameras pick up road spray, mud and winter salt. A wipe keeps those lenses clear.
Safe Space Technology utilizes the windshield camera for various driver assist technologies. In addition, Park Pilot Assist on the Ultra will utilize the camera system's 360-degree technology. Should either lens become clogged/dirty or develop fog, there will be diminished visibility of what is going on around the vehicle.

Tear open
Each wet wipe is separately packaged to remain damp for months when left in a vehicle.

Wipe the lens
A wet wipe can be used to remove dirt, road grime (film) and finger prints. Use the minimum amount of pressure to clean your lenses.

Bin it
Do NOT use an individual wipe twice. After you have cleaned one surface, you will need to dispose of the wet wipe as the dirt has been transferred into the wipe. If you reuse a wet wipe, it may scratch the coating on your lens.

Does every EX30 have a 360 degree camera?
No, only the Ultra has this as standard equipment. The other models do have the rear view camera and windshield camera.
Can I clean the camera behind the windscreen myself?
You cannot clean behind the cover according to Volvo. However, you can clean the top part of the glass by hand.
My camera image stays blurry, what now?
Wiping does only clean the outer surface of the lens. Cleaning haze off of the inside of the windshield or correcting a software malfunction will require more than just wiping.
