How to clean the cameras on your Toyota RAV4
Your Toyota RAV4 has a camera behind the windscreen for Toyota Safety Sense and a rear camera with dynamic guidelines. On Executive and GR Sport trims, Panoramic View Monitor adds cameras at the front, under both mirrors and at the rear. Dirt on any of these lenses delays or blurs exactly the images you rely on when parking or on narrow roads.
Where are the cameras on the Toyota RAV4?

Where dirt builds up
Road spray and grime mainly hit the rear camera above the numberplate and the front camera in the grille. The mirror-mounted cameras pick up winter salt and drizzle. No automatic cleaning is mentioned for the cameras themselves, so you wipe them by hand.
Toyota Safety Sense relies on the camera behind the windscreen. Toyota Teammate Advanced Park, on the Executive trim, depends on the front, side and rear cameras together. A dirty lens on any of these can blur the parking image.
How to clean the cameras on your RAV4

Tear open
Each wet wipe is separately packaged to remain damp for months when left in a vehicle.

Wipe the lens
A wet wipe can be used to remove dirt, road grime (film) and finger prints. Use the minimum amount of pressure to clean your lenses.

Bin it
Do NOT use an individual wipe twice. After you have cleaned one surface, you will need to dispose of the wet wipe as the dirt has been transferred into the wipe. If you reuse a wet wipe, it may scratch the coating on your lens.

Does every RAV4 have Panoramic View Monitor?
No. It depends on the trim, standard on Executive and GR Sport in the Netherlands, optional on Style, and not available on Dynamic.
Can a wipe remove haze on the inside of the windscreen?
No, that is on the inside of the glass and unrelated to the camera. A wipe only cleans the outside of the lenses.
Does Teammate Advanced Park still work if a camera is dirty?
The system uses the front, side and rear cameras together, so a dirty lens can make the parking image less sharp.
