How to clean the cameras on your Audi Q4 e-tron
Your Audi Q4 e-tron has a camera behind the windscreen for traffic sign recognition and emergency braking. Depending on trim, it may also have a reversing camera and an optional 360° system with extra cameras around the car. Dirt on these lenses blurs the image exactly when you need it most.

Where dirt builds up
On the SUV, the reversing camera is fed by the rear window washer, so you can rinse the lens. On unpaved or wet roads, the rear camera and parking sensors get dirty fast, owners report. The Sportback, which has no rear wiper, has no cleaning function for the camera according to one supplier.
Lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and emergency braking rely on the camera behind the windscreen. A dirty lens makes these functions work worse or not at all. Parking aid and any 360° view depend on clean rear and surround cameras, where fitted.

Tear open
Each wet wipe is separately packaged to remain damp for months when left in a vehicle.

Wipe the lens
A wet wipe can be used to remove dirt, road grime (film) and finger prints. Use the minimum amount of pressure to clean your lenses.

Bin it
Do NOT use an individual wipe twice. After you have cleaned one surface, you will need to dispose of the wet wipe as the dirt has been transferred into the wipe. If you reuse a wet wipe, it may scratch the coating on your lens.

Does my Q4 e-tron have a self-cleaning camera?
On the SUV version, the reversing camera is rinsed through the rear window washer. On the Sportback without a rear wiper, one supplier says there is no such function.
Why is my reversing camera blurry after an unpaved road?
Owners report that the rear camera and parking sensors get dirty fast on unpaved or wet roads. A wipe removes that dirt easily.
Can a wipe fix software issues with the camera?
No, a wipe only cleans the lens. It won't fix a blurry image caused by haze on the inside of the windscreen or a software fault.
